Wanihowin/Miskawâw (Lost and Found)
Wanihowin/Miskawâw (Lost and Found) is built on the cover of a vintage ledger book. Not that long ago Métis people were pushed off the land, out of view, into forgotten places, but they did not stay there. This piece is created from an original ledger cover from the 1950’s. The ledger was used to keep track of ‘Forfeited Lands’ - lands that were seized. Size: 17”x14”
